“I’ll be speaking about the importance of finding your passion and how it related to my journey into the business of mental health. I’m also going to address some of the stereotypes that mental health has as well as why it is a viable market to tap into. Since I actually used to attend this school, this speaking engagement has a special place with me.”
This interactive presentation informs the audience about potential growth and stability in the mental health field while inspiring them to get into the human services field as a way of giving back to the community. Furthermore, it addresses the misconceptions, stereotypes, and stigmas attached to mental illness in the Black community.
For those of you who don’t know, philanthropy and giving back to the community is something I am deeply passionate about. With that being said, I have partnered with a cause I know all to well, helping displaced men reenter the workforce. By providing them with interview attire and career counseling, Corporate Code and it’s visionary, Mr. James Brashears III, have been doing just that. In the spirit of collaboration, I have teamed with Mr. Brashears to continue to grow the vision of Corporate Code and keep the great work going that he has so diligently started. This upcoming Tuesday, February 12th at 6 pm, we are hosting a event at the new Cruzado Cafe’ and Lounge (366 5th Street NE, Atlanta, GA) to increase awareness around the cause with a portion of the night’s proceeds benefiting the organization. There will be drink, food, and hookah specials ALL NIGHT…so please come join us in supporting a good cause while having a great time!!!
On that same day, one of my partners in rhyme, Flagg B will release his mixtape “Georgia Flagg” and we’ll be celebrating that at Cruzado too!
By the way…I’m diligently at work on the “The Abundant Life Project” which will be released the top of 2nd Quarter…but I’ll keep you in the loop with that.
Thanks for your continued support and I look forward to seeing you Tuesday at Cruzado!
